Welcome to Local 706 Online The artisans of 706 have always been the standard-bearers of the film industry. The most advanced techniques and artistry begin here. Without the talents of Makeup Artists and Hairstylists from Local 706, "Planet of the Apes" would have just been a story about talking monkeys. What´s the first thing you think of when you mention "Frankenstein," "Edward Scissorhands, ""Breakfast at Tiffanys" or "Hellraiser?" Generally, it´s not the story line itself — it´s the makeup or the hairstyles that stay in your memory. All of these visually memorable films were done by 706 members. Our website has new technology that is giving our members the most up-to-date news and information with the touch of a button. We´re also adding new links that may be useful and the new addition of the "Production Report" (members only!) will assist you in job hunting. Our website will give you the correct information for contractual questions (in synopsis form), or tell you where to find wigs. It can help you with health and pension questions or keep you up-to-date on upcoming classes or Executive Board meeting minutes.
